It is a privelege to partner with Luss Estates on beautiful Loch Lomond. We offer guests a variety of foraging experiences that take in the wealth of habitats this unique environment affords, ranging from nourishing river walks, 4x4 adventures up into the glen, wild picnics on one of the loch’s many islands and workshops to learn about making food and medicine from the abundance of wild plants that fill the estate.

A wealth of habitats, a world of discovery

  • Woodland Walk

    Enjoy a meandering 2-3 hour woodland foraging walk that will introduce you to over 30 edible and medicinal plants and trees, alongside those that need to be avoided. A deeply relaxing time of nature connection and ecological education, this walk will deepen your understsanding of the Scottish landscape and give you a taste of the delicious ways wild food can be incorporated into your diet.

  • Island Walk

    Explore the unique habitat of the loch’s mysterious islands, home to a range of diverse flora and fauna. This walk takes place in a calm and secluded learning environment of a private island where you can learn about the plants that thrive on the loch, the largest freshwater body in the UK, before enjoying a wild tea that will provide inspiration for how to cook and made medicine with wild food.

  • Glen Walk

    For those craving a more extreme foraging environment, this walk will take you off the beaten track and into the epic grandeur of one of the estate’s magnificent glens. This emblematic landscape defines Scotland, and the flora and fauna that thrive here are unique to this sublime habitat. Each walk ends with a foraged picnic incorporating a range of wild plant and other locally sourced ingredients.
